Block of the Month

"Tonny's Quilt"

(In loving memory of Tonny van Maurik)

size 28"x 28", block size 7"x 7"

Fabric needed for top:

           ¼ yard dark chocolate brown 

         ¼ yard redbrown 

         ¼ yard warm brown 

         ½ yard blue 

         ¾  yard iceblue (cut 4 strips of 2 ¾ inch first for binding) 

         ¼ yard gold yellow 

         1 ¼ yard cream background fabric

(cut 4 strips of 4 inch first for borders and 1 square of 7 1/2” x 7 1/2” for middle piece)

  When printing make sure the pagescaling is set to NONE)

The first picture I received is from Dot Colna (PA) She wrote: "I didn't pick the material.  It's a challenge project through our guild.  A member picked out material, put it in a bag, and then we each took a bag.  This is the material that I got, except for the cream borders, it did turn out so nicely...."

I AGREE ! Lovely quilt !

 

This version is made by Willy Triviere from Brussel. She quilted this quilt with an embroidery machine, and added an embroidery butterfly in the middle. 
What a creative idea !  My compliments!

Made bij Wilma Eichler in North Carolina.  She made this quilt with a change in the center. It is for a friend who is getting married this year. What a unique and beautiful gift ! Thank you for sharing with us.
